Joan, The Little Cutie Pie: Sneak Peek (Michigan Wedding Photography)

Joan is beyond adorable. Those golden locks and that smile just melt your heart! I had a great time chasing her around the yard as she played with toys, watered plants, and goofed around with Mom and Dad. She is such a cutie!!!

Madeleine + Lisa

Lisa and I have a great history. We found each other when she was looking for a wedding photographer and shortly after photographing her wedding in August of 2007 she came to work for me (cuz I’m so much fun). : P  She did leave over a year later when she was expecting Madeleine so that she could focus on being a Mommy and find work closer to home. I just miss her and her great sense of humor a ton and since our lives keep us so busy it’s a huge treat for me to be able to spend time with these two fantastic girls. And, as expected, while talking each other’s ears off there is a great deal of picture taking as well. : )

The Jelinskis: Three Plus One

02.22.08

Krishna, Jeff and Kaylee really are more like family than clients and I am incredibly lucky to see them several times per year. To think it all started at their engagement session in 2007 at Meadow Brook Hall (and I remember laughing alot that day too). I look forward to each session with great anticipation so when they surprised me during their summer shoot with the great news that they were expecting once again, I was ecstatic. A session with these guys is always filled with laughter and it honestly feels like I’m hanging out with friends. I love them dearly and I cannot wait to meet their newest edition. :)

What a fun afternoon we had playing with toys and goofing around. Jumping on the bed was my absolute favorite part of our session which allowed the twins to burn off some of their energy. I prefer to photograph children in their own environment so that they feel comfortable and are more willing to show me their unique personalities. While a few posed pictures are wonderful to have (and seem to make the grandparents happy), those aren’t always the images to which we feel the greatest connection. For this reason I prefer a casual atmosphere; a “play date” in a sense. And I get to play with a ton of toys. Totally win-win!
