I just learned that one of my weddings, Brynn and Jason Arego, was featured in The Brides’ Cafe, a blog created by Janie Medley of Flora Design which showcases the fine details of beautiful weddings to provide all Brides-to-be the insight and inspiration to make their day uniquely their own. Check it out and click around…oooohs and ahhhh’s are guaranteed!
The Bride’s Cafe – Inspiration Galore!
Cool Stuff I Just Have to Share!
‘Tis the season – lots of editing, design, meetings, weddings, sessions, etc and while I am working hard to keep up with the blog I know some are biting their nails. Rest assured, I will have everyone’s photos up as soon as possible. I do just about all off the post processing while Andrea, my assistant, keeps in touch with clients scheduling sessions and meetings along with retouching photos, processing print and album orders, handling the ever so fun mounds of paperwork, packaging and shipping, and 500 other miscellaneous office related duties. I think she’s just about ready for an assistant.
Anyway, I had to take a moment to spout about a fantastic new song I just downloaded from iTunes. I have long been a fan of Joshua Radin and his newest album, Simple Times, is yet another stellar body of work, in my mind. While I love the entire album I am currently infatuated by “No Envy No Fear”. If you don’t have it – get it. If you haven’t heard of Joshua – listen up. It’s good stuff, my friends…goooood stuff.
Found a rather crude recording on YouTube (below). Just download the song – it’s well worth 99 cents (or free for you ‘puter savvy folk).
Emily + David
08.24.08
Emily and David are comical beyond belief. They always seem to be laughing and smiling and their family is just as jovial. Emily’s grandmother was the first to arrive the day of the wedding and she had me in stitches within 60 seconds. Her grandfather, as seen in the cell phone photo, was just as fun. I honestly wanted to take them home with me when I left!
Anyway, back to the happy couple…the wedding was gorgeous as was the bride (ok, and Dave was pretty studly himself). The weather was perfect and the energy in the room was electric – everyone seemed to be in a fantastic celebratory mood and after dinner they were ready to PARTY! Congratulations Petrovskis! It was an honor to spend the day with you!

Rachelle + Antonio
08.23.08
Rachelle and Antonio were wonderful to work with and I had such a great time running around the U of M Campus with them and their bridal party, which turned out to be as interesting as it was fun. I’ve been to the Law Quad many times and it is a photo hot spot so it came as no surprise that other bridal parties were there taking photos as well. However, just before our departure the count was at five bridal parties – that’s pretty crazy even for a location of that size. Apparently they chose a VERY popular day to get hitched! Thank you for a wonderful time and congratulations!!
