SNAP! In Z formation!

Christy and Pat have a fantastically fun chemistry and they’re a dream to photograph. They’re definitely the best of friends which is evident by the way they interact. I can’t wait to see how the details of their day come together as they infuse Pat’s German heritage into the elements of their wedding and I look forward to having even more fun with them in just a few months. Can you believe that Jan is now just three months away? Whoops…sorry Christy. Like you need the reminder, eh? : )

While this was not my first experience with Indian weddings it was the first traditional Indian wedding I’ve had the pleasure to document. It took place over a period of four days and I honestly wish I could have been Jeena’s shadow the entire time. What an incredible celebration!! I am still in awe of the time and effort they and their families devoted to making this wedding the inexplicable, genuinely surreal experience that it was. Thank you for opening your homes and your hearts to me and my staff; we can’t express how excited we were to be part of such an adventure!

Did someone say Party?

Angela and Cole’s wedding was gorgeous as was the entire bridal party! We had a fab time on campus as we make a few stops on the couple’s hit list before heading to the University Club, which was SUCH a great place to host a wedding reception. The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating and the venue is immaculate and well cared for. Everyone was in the mood to party, which they did all night long. Thank you for the honor and pleasure of documenting your special day and congratulations!!!

Chasing Charleston

Nearly two months have passed since we took a much needed trip to Charleston, SC – our first summer family vacation in over three years. These times never last as long as you want them to and vacation days rarely linger so we did all we could to see the city and its surroundings. I did take pictures though I made it a point (this time) to set the camera down so that I could truly take it all in. What a cool place…I immediately fell in love. I can’t wait to go back to the Carolinas soon and if I had my way, we’d make it our new home in 2010. ; )

charlotte001
As soon as we dropped our luggage at home base we drove to the nearest beach. My son could not wait to hit the water; can you tell? I thought for sure he’d melted his crocs… ;)

charlotte002
I’ve never surfed though I’m willing to try. The sight of surfers just screams vacation!

charlotte003
My son found part of a shell – and it slipped out of his hands. Hmmm…the water is different here, Mom!

charlotte004
Good ‘ole Ocean – lots of salt to burn your eyes. You know, you explain these things to your kids and they just stare at you as if you were making the stuff up. I guess they just have to experience it for themselves. As if I was any different… :)

charlotte005
And then he realized it didn’t taste so good either and ran to find fresh water!

charlotte006

charlotte007
I am mesmerized by Jellyfish and they truly are one of my favorite sea creatures. So graceful and fragile.

charlotte008
A plethora of Charleston’s best ABC gum. :)

charlotte009
The Customs House…I just need a bride and groom!

charlotte010

charlotte011

charlotte012
Cypress trees; another example of nature’s perfection.

charlotte013
Cypress and the hubby. Awe…oh, sorry. I mean, how manly and rugged.

charlotte015
And they have freaking huge spiders! This one holds a special place in my heart as we JUST missed giving it a big kiss while walking thru a plantation (and I mean JUST).

charlotte016
Apparently Scarlett is still undecided. ; )

charlotte017

charlotte019
Row, row, row your wooden boat gently thru the swamp…mind your fingers, hands and toes or else they will get chomped!

charlotte020
Convincing lad, isn’t he? Drama club here we come.

charlotte021
Life’s a Beach…no, really…it is when you’re in the Carolinas. ; )

charlotte024

And a jaunt to Savannah led us to the Mercer House of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil fame. Sweet digs, I must say.
