The world around us gets faster every day, and with so much happening, it’s important to adapt and push forward across new frontiers. One such brink of exploration is the world of video captured through professional-grade digital single-lens reflux cameras. The same cameras that freeze time and space with a permanent reminder of special events can now show the life, movement and sound of our celebrations as well. That is why The Shooting Gallery Photography has embraced cinematic quality video as a reflection and fusion of its art.
My name is Aaron C. Wade. I was fortunate enough to meet Dionne in 2009 through a mutual acquaintence. I learned how important it was to seek out and savor the little things along with the big things that come with celebrations. I was inevitably inspired to pursue my own passions, that of which being cinematography. From a very young age, I was always fascinated by the look of things shot on film but could never quite put a finger on why it looked different and better than standard video. Through trials and tribulations I ultimately decided to go back to school at Specs Howard School of Media Arts and pursue my dreams of working in film. On days when I was struggling to come to grips with life’s misgivings, I turned to Dionne for guidance. Then one day I had an epiphany about wedding videos, so much so that I was practically bursting at the seems to tell a friendly ear. Dionne was there to hear my excitable flights of fancy, and despite my inexperience, she must’ve recognized my determination and spirit. She gave me the opportunity to venture into the unknown and help execute my calling by bringing me on as the video lead for The Shooting Gallery.
With a galvanized photography and videography team working together rather than separately, The Shooting Gallery can cooperatively achieve a fuller range than ever before. The possibilities now are limited only by human imagination. This is a very exciting year where already we have been able to bring so much joy to our clients and exceed their expectations. I’ve witnessed first hand a room filled with people moved to tears by a work of creation that I was blessed to be a part of. And this is only the beginning of many great things to come.
